Garage Door Keypad

A garage door keypad, also known as a garage door entry system or garage door opener keypad, is an electronic device that allows you to open and close your garage door by entering a numeric code on a keypad mounted outside your garage. It provides an alternative method of accessing your garage without using a physical key or a remote control.

The keypad is typically installed near the garage door, usually on the wall or on the door frame. It consists of a panel with a set of numbered buttons, usually from 0 to 9, and additional buttons for functions such as "Enter," "Open," "Close," or "Program." The buttons may be backlit for easy visibility in low-light conditions.

To operate the garage door with the keypad, you need to enter a pre-programmed access code. This code can be a combination of numbers that you choose and set up during the initial installation or programming process. Once you enter the correct code and press the "Enter" or "Open" button, the garage door opener receives the signal and activates the door to open or close.

Garage door keypads offer convenience and security. They allow you to enter your garage without carrying a key or remote control, making it useful when you go for a walk, jog, or bike ride without carrying any belongings. Additionally, you can program temporary access codes for guests or service providers, which can be easily deleted or changed later.
